What should I bring to a PowerFit session?
Bring your normal cycling kit, shoes and pedals. Ideally you should also bring along your existing bike as a starting point.
How long does a session last?
Usually 1 - 1.5 hours - but this will depend on the retailer and your own bespoke needs - please speak to your nearest PowerFit retailer.
What if I change my bike after the fit?
The position achieved during the fit is recorded as 4 measurements, W, X, Y Z - these can be applied to other bikes - as long as the other bikes are within a suitable size / geometry range to allow this (for example a much bigger frame size might not allow the position to be achieved).
I'm thinking of changing my pedals, shoes or saddle - can I still have a bike fit?
Small size differences between these items can have a big impact on the overall bike fit - so please advise your fitter before your session - the session should be performed using the new items, otherwise you may need a follow up session once you have purchased the new item(s)
I'm comfortable with my position - why should I bother with a bike fit?
A bike fit can improve comfort and performance through even very small changes that optimise your position. If you find out from a session that there is in fact no improvement to be made to your position then it will enable you to focus on other aspects of cycling such as training, conditioning and nutrition in the confidence that your there are no further gains to be made through positional changes.
How does PowerFit compare to other fitting systems such as Body Geometry and Retul?
PowerFit is the only bike fit process that specifically focuses on power - aiming to achieve an optimised position for a balanced and smooth pedal stroke to improve efficiency and performance, which is demonstrable through pedalling technique assessment and Wattbike's proprietary Polar View Technology.
How much does a session cost?
The Powerfit session will cost £150.00*
